How we achieved this

...
The first thing we did is a detailed analysis on the site to make it friendlier to search engines. According to our analysis, we directed and helped the client to fix basic website issues that are an obstacle to achieving good ranks and organic traffic.
...
We did a detailed keyword analysis to find potential keywords to drive traffic and sales. From our research, we worked with the client to finalize keywords they should target.
...
The next thing was analyzing site contents and selecting the most relevant landing pages for the keywords and making sure other relevant pages support the keywords. We did competitor analysis for writing Meta titles and descriptions, and we worked on headers. We placed the keywords so naturally in the page contents that we would never have to worry about Google's relevance algorithm or Google's spam checking algorithms at their worst. We also had Google’s Latent Semantic Index (LSI) technology in mind while optimizing and avoided over-optimizing at any cost. We used the power of properly structured and optimized XML Sitemap and leveraged the advantages of Google Webmaster Tool and Bing Webmaster Tool to resolve any crawling issues with Search Engine Robots.

...
We shared our published content through social channels and targeted crowded community groups and shared there. We received Facebook likes, Google+ and several shares that helped us to generate social signals.
...
Also, we wanted to make sure our client showed up in all possible local places nation- and statewide. We targeted all local directories our competitors are acquiring and set our clients there in a more optimized and more presentable way.
...
We also collected juice from media sites and wrote and distributed press releases. We did bookmarks on social sites to generate more social signals.
...
We targeted niche directories and submitted our client’s site

We always kept it mind that we have to make sure the link profile is diversified. In post-panda and penguin era, our concern was to make sure we built links using brand anchors, various relevant keywords and URLs as anchors to make sure the back link profile looks natural.
...
We distributed video for clients in various video sharing sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and DailyMotion to make sure our client got the advantages of video marketing and received great links.
